This has been a long-term project on one of the most impressive listed buildings in Manchester.
Manchester Hall is a great example of Art Deco classical revival architecture, featuring the first concrete oval staircase in the country and built specifically to accommodate The Freemasons. As such, retaining the heritage was of paramount importance.
Our client granted a long lease to a developer with a specific brief advised by Gray Scanlan Hill to sympathetically restore and repurpose the building as an events and leisure venue.
Gray Scanlan Hill were also appointed as Employer’s Agent to oversee the fit out of the third floor, creating the new city centre masonic headquarters.
