Mike Scanlan

Can typically be found half way up a mountain, giving Bear Grylls a run for his money.

Mike is a director who has developed experience and expertise in the assessment of third party development, access to land, construction risks, strategic advice and representation on rights of light, party walls, sunlight and daylight and overshadowing appraisals (for planning purposes).

Mike’s career path led him through positions with Arcus HSB in Sale and Malcom Hollis in Manchester to becoming one third of the trio of surveyors who joined their expertise in 2005 and established Gray Scanlan Hill.

Mike achieved an advanced BTEC National Diploma qualification in Construction in 1994, followed by a BSc (Hons) in Building Surveying in 1998 from the University of Salford. He received accreditation as a Chartered Building Surveyor in 2000 and is now a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
